State Value Added Tax replaced state sales tax across India from 2005 onwards and was itself largely subsumed by GST on 1 July 2017. State VAT continues only for petroleum crude, motor spirit, HSD, natural gas, ATF and alcoholic liquor for human consumption.

Telangana (current law)

Applicable to the firm's home jurisdiction. Continues for non-GST goods.
